Write and erase
You can print, laminate and cut out the cards for pupils to practise adding up coin values. Ideal for early finishers and for those pupils who need more practice in adding up coins.
Print off, cut out and glue into workbooks
You may wish to record pupils’ work and so this resource is great for cutting out and sticking into worksheets or onto plain paper. Pupils do not have to work through the task cards in number order. Whatever ability the pupil is at, you can choose the appropriate task card.
There is a Recording Sheet with space for the pupil’s name and date for when each activity was completed.
Alternative uses
I have included blank card and coins which you can prepare to suit the needs of your pupils.
E.g. Write the amount of money on the right-hand side of the card and then pupils cut out the coins to match the amount of money you have written down.
Pupils can cut out the little flags and stick on the blank task cards.
For small group or one-to-one activity
Lay out cards that have the same value but different combinations of coins.
Ask pupils to match the cards that add up the same amount and elicit what coins were used on each card. E.g. Both cards add up to 50p but one card shows 3x 10p and 1x 20p and the other card shows 2x20p and 1x 10p.

This resource comprises 5 worksheets on the water cycle and a missing jigsaw activity.
The worksheets are also on PowerPoint and PDF format.
These are additional worksheets you can give out during the lesson, use as assessment on the water cycle or as homework.
Two worksheets require students to write about the water cycle in their own words.
Three worksheets entail cut and paste activities. The simpler activities are cutting out the word strips and glue them onto the correct blank space to show the water cycle process.
The other cut and paste activity requires students to write the title in their workbooks or on a separate sheet of paper. Then they write about each word, cut out the strip and glue it into their workbooks. Some students may only be able to complete 4 strips. Let them choose a word to write about.
Once the students have written something about each word, they can draw a picture for each strip.
There is a jigsaw puzzle to complete. It has 4 pieces missing with which students complete the puzzle picture of the water cycle. When this is completed, student cut out and stick the labels into the correct spaces on the completed puzzle. A finished puzzle is included to how the puzzle should look. NB: The picture was drawn on the computer and coloured in by hand.
Missing Jigsaw Puzzle pieces (b/w) – Print off the page with just one puzzle piece in place. Students complete the whole puzzle by cutting out the rest of the puzzles (8 pieces) and sticking them in place to complete the water cycle picture. Then as above, cut out the words and glue beneath the correct picture, e.g. precipitation would go beneath the rain cloud.
Students can then colour in.
Hope you enjoy using these resources.

Ten sets of Shape Match Mats – Set 1 to Set 12
Ten sets of Shape Cards – Set 1 to Set 12
Labels for shapes
Shapes used: square, circle, triangle, rectangle, oval, pentagon, diamond/rhombus, heart, star, crescent and trapezium shape.
The mats are whole page landscape and should be printed onto card and laminated.
Enlarge to A3 and get children to work in pairs to match the shapes.
Each mat displays various shapes in different positions, size and colour. For each mat there are sets of shapes which should be printed onto card or good quality paper and then cut out ready for the children to start the matching activity.
The cut out shapes are placed on top of the correct shapes shown on the Shape Mat. The shape, colour and size should match.
More than one shape card can be placed on top of a shape. This is an opportunity for children to count the number of matching shapes, describe colours and shapes.
Included are shape labels - you may want to use these to revise shapes with the children.
I keep the numbered sets together so that they do not get mixed up, i.e. Set 1 Shape Cards stored away with Shape Match Mat 1; Set 2 Shape Cards kept with Shape Match Mat 2 etc.
